Sorry for the long delay between postings. My sister, Nancy, was here for a week the beginning of August and my niece, Amanda, was here 10 days ago for a long weekend. It was great fun seeing them both and they were wonderful to drive me around to run errands. We did fit in some fun - like brunch at St. Francis, my favorite spot for Sunday brunch, especially since they have a great jazz trio. Unfortunately, between visits I have had a tough time with my chemo treatments. In fact, my white blood cell count was so low they almost cancelled my last treatment. Fortunately we were able to proceed. The exciting news is that next Tuesday I have surgery on my right eye and two weeks later on my left. My opthomologist hopes this will fix my vision so I can read and type without so much difficulty. Keep your fingers crossed. My friend Edy Whidden from DC arrives September 5 and will help with my doctor's appointments. Debi, of course, is always a trooper taking me to numerous appointments. Today is the first day in over a week that I have had any energy. Hopefully, this means I am on an upswing. Miss you all.

Hello, Zoe! Happy to read your recent posting! Haven't been anywhere for brunch in a long while; maybe should put that on the schedule. Nice to see a picture of your sister Nancy. There is a family resemblance. Will hold good thoughts for your upcoming surgery/s. love, c.
