YIPES, YIPPEE, WOW, HIP HIP HOORAY! Received wonderful news from my oncologist yesterday regarding my most recent CT scan. My tumor has shrunk - for the second time since I was diagnosed. In fact, he wants to do another CT scan in three weeks and if the tumor continues to shrink, I may be eligible for surgery. When I first started my treatments I was told surgery was impossible because the tumor is wrapped around the Splinek vein and a major artery. It really is a miracle which is just what we have all been hoping for. So, please keep all your prayers and good wishes coming. I know all that positive energy must be helping. My cataract surgery was also a huge success. My right eye is now 20/20 and I am hopeful for the same success for my left eye, which is still healing. However, there is already tremendous improvement. Now I will try to be better about keeping the blog updated and responding to all of you on a more timely basis. It had become very difficult to see the screen, as well as difficult to read, my passion. So much is happening. My newest is that I am moving to Florida to live with my mother and sister Nancy. The good news is that I will be living with my mother and sister. The bad news is I will be living with my mother and sister. Overall, it will be great. Nancy found a three-bedroom, two bathroom house on Lake Tallavana (160 acres). We are right on the lake with our own pier. We are planning on buying bikes and a couple of kayaks. I am beyond excited. The closest small town is Havana, Florida (only two miles away), which is a small, antique-filled quaint spot. The largest city is Tallahassee. Therefore, we are in the northwest corner of the state in the panhandle area. And, no, I have never lived in Florida and have only been to Tallahassee once. Fortunately, my sister has lived in Tallahassee for many years. Another new adventure begins. I will find an oncologist nearby but want my current doctor to oversee my treatments and I will fly back to Phoenix as necessary. That is especially nice to I can continue to have time with my friend Debi and other great friends in the area. Sending love and gratitude for the important role you have played in my life. Miss you
